Equity! – Adewale Sobowale

Some have been talking about Muslim/Muslim ticket.

Isn’t it interesting that they are not mentioning the traditional worshippers? According to them, Christianity and Islam are the two major religions in Nigeria!

Seriously?

In the first instance, the African Traditional Worshippers do not make noise about their beliefs.

Second, for the sake of debate, let’s agree that traditional worshippers constitute a minority. What happened to recognition of the rights of the minorities?

Third, what’s the percentage of people in the so–called two major religions that HAVE NOT patronized traditional religion at one point or the other in their lives?

That brings me to zonal representation. Of all zones in Nigeria, I believe the southeast has been shortchanged in terms of heading the nation.

If we really want to have equity, I believe these should be addressed!

As far as I’m concerned, I’m looking forward to when our tribes or religious preferences won’t matter.
