Suicides are becoming rather rampant in our society. And when I talk of the society, I hope you understand I’m referring to the whole wide world – www!
And what’s more!
It crosses across all classes and status.
The fact that a person is seen as being successful doesn’t give us an assurance that they might not decide one day to just end it all.
The rich also cry!
In fact, it’s a surprise that the rate of suicidal deaths in countries where governments hardly care for their teeming populations is so low.
I’m taking Nigeria as a point of reference.
Most people are in a state of, ‘Man no die, man no rotten.’
The Nigerian situation could be said to be on autopilot. Everywhere you go, it’s a case of konko jabele, that’s everyone is on his own, God is for us all!
The traditional systems which used to be protective of everyone has collapsed. It has supposedly given way to a modern system of governance.
Democracy!
But then, the (s)elected whom the people in their ignorance, selected to run their affairs, are too busy democratizing their own pockets to see what’s happening to the citizen Mudas!

Now the society is left in the Hobbesian state of nature where life is nasty, brutish and short.
Where are the counselors?
Where are the social benefits?
What is society doing for the homeless?
What happens to the clueless?
Well, Allah dey!
