The authorities in Indonesia have deported 13 Taiwan citizens.
The Straits Times reports that the 13 were suspected of serious crimes. They were suspected of taking part in cybercrime, money laundering, and drug trafficking.
The director general of immigration, Slimy Karim said, “After a thorough examination by immigration officers, the thirteen foreigners turned out to be perpetrators of serious crimes in Taiwan. They will undergo justice process in Taiwan.”
The immigration agency had arrested 103 Taiwan passport holders on suspicion of running a cybercrime operation off the Island of Bali. But Taiwan has stated that it was informed that only 14 of its citizens were implicated.
