There are various ways of describing situations.
These days, when something bad happens to some, they say, “Nigeria has happened to them.”
But pray, I will boldly say Nigeria has happened to me when I’m making progress no matter how little. The Yoruba will say, apemora lan pe temidire.
My Bible says, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure. May there be peace your walls and security within your citadels.'”
For the seeming problems of Nigeria, I can tell you for free that there’s no country without problems.
However, it’s the way the citizens react that turn problems into advantages.
Have we bothered to ask why there’s no leader that could be said to have ruled Nigeria to our satisfaction?
I believe we, the citizens, are the problems. We should dictate what we want. But the opposite is the case.
I don’t know about you, but for me – Nigeria has happened to me positively!
