After so many seasons of being a serial aspirant, Mr Muhammadu Buhari finally got into Aso Rock in 2015.
He came with various promises among which were the bringing of the local currency, the naira, equal to the dollar, the liquidation of the dreaded Boko Haram, and a complete change in governance.
He was helped into power by some do gooders!
It’s obvious, the generality of Nigerians, instead of voting their conscience, depend on the largesse provided by these leaders of thoughtlessness!!
But the discerning warned the people. That’s because the same Buhari had been a military head of state once. At that time, he was a complete disaster.
But the promise of change carried us away!
However, we never asked if it was change for the better or the very worst.
Seven years and five months later, Nigerians are now grovelling under the yoke of the worst form of rulership ever.
Since we all know that if we fix twenty years, it will definitely come to pass, even if some of us die. This will certainly be the last Independence Day at which Buhari will be taking the salute as the Commander–In–Chief of Nigeria’s armed forces.
But then, can we start singing the nunc dimitis like Simeon when he saw the Savior?
