Nigerians should be sorry for themselves. Indeed, they should.
PDP members held their non elective congress yesterday. And they held it in the open.
Democracy is good o!
If not for democracy, can people who supervised the impovishment of the Nigerian masses hold a public meeting? And they went away freely.
They even had the mouth to say they ran the best economy in Africa.
Of course, they did!
They did enrich themselves. They are planning to take over in 2019.
But is the APC performing better?
Members of their ruling class aren’t complaining. They are having a ball. They are just like Neymar.
By the way, is something not wrong with us as a people? Is something not wrong with our institutions?
Institutions ke?
For where? There ain’t no institutions in Naija. We just rule on try your luck basis.
That’s why there is no enduring public policy in the land. Succeeding governments always change the foundations laid by their predecessors. No matter how good, such might be.
It’s all in a bid to fleece the people by looting the treasury. And we will be looking at them like fools.
No, we will be praying so that we may have good governance. But prayers without walking our talks amount to nothing.
Most of us are ready to consume the remnants. We are vultures that are circling over abattoirs. The carrion is just good enough for us.
Meanwhile, there may be no light, no water, no roads, no noes!
All the public infrastructure have collapsed. But we must keep on praying.
The funny thing is that we are also playing the waiting game. We are undertakers in the political process. At any point in time, if any of the personalities should fall, we are ready to take over.
