We feel with the American and Israeli peoples the pains they are going through. Earlier today, eleven people were murdered and six injured in a synagogue at Pittsburgh, U.S.
Apparently, it was an anti Semitic attack!
Personally, I really wouldn’t know what anyone would achieve through the killing of another human being. Mind you, no man could create another.
Even if they could create, it would have been a case of sheer mindlessness, stupidity and unfeelingness to even think of killing another. It’s just against all the laws of nature.
Whatever issues anyone might have with others are not beyond discussion and negotiations.
That’s why I still hold as a principle the saying by Harold Wilson on June 26, 1954 at a White House luncheon that,
‘It is better to jaw jaw than to war war’.
Those people who were murdered definitely had some thoughts before their gruesome death. But none of their thoughts would have been the remote possibility of their being killed.
It’s one of the risks of the world we are living in. But we can make our own world better with some positive thinking. I mean as individuals, we must set it as a goal that nothing anyone does to us will compel us to think of their death.
By the way, killing doesn’t have to necessarily mean the actual act of murdering. Whenever we think someone is better dead than alive, it means if we have the opportunity, they are goners!
It’s indeed a sad day!!!
